How does Jira licensing work?
Jira is licensed per user. Jira Cloud is a subscription you pay monthly or annually, in Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans. Jira Data Center is an annual, self-managed license that only existing customers can still buy, with expansions until March 30, 2028. It reaches end of life on March 28, 2029.

Is Jira cheaper in a Collection?
It can be. Atlassian’s Teamwork Collection bundles Jira, Confluence, Loom and Rovo agents in one per-user subscription, and its Premium and Enterprise editions add Atlassian Guard Standard.
