Atlassian Cloud at GEODATA: Efficient and Secure

For GEODATA, the key questions were how security, user adoption, and efficient collaboration could be ensured long-term. In joint workshops and analyses with Seibert Solutions, these questions were addressed and the foundation for a future-proof Atlassian environment was created.

How the Cloud Migration Went
Consulting & Analysis
The project started with an initial workshop to openly discuss all concerns and challenges. This created the foundation for a trusting collaboration and a clear shared understanding of what the migration needed to achieve.
Test Migration
The migration plan included a detailed analysis of all extensions to be migrated. The Server instances were replaced with Jira Service Management Cloud, and external user directories were synced via Atlassian Access — enabling SSO and two-factor authentication.
Detailed Migration Planning

We worked closely with all departments involved and discussed potential cybersecurity issues before starting user acceptance testing (UAT). The migration went as planned and was a great success.
