The Cloud replaced internal server, database, and patching tasks with secure standard operation — eliminating continuous update and plugin maintenance. Our Approach
The move to the Cloud was deliberately used by regio iT as an opportunity to question existing structures. The current state was analyzed first and requirements were gathered from existing usage. From this, a new Jira setup was developed in workshops with stakeholders — consciously not carrying over legacy structures. The goal was a consistent setup that works for all teams in everyday use and facilitates cross-project collaboration.
regio iT deliberately chose a greenfield approach: learning from past experience without carrying over legacy structures, fields, or workflows into the Cloud.
Results We’re Proud Of
Moving to the Cloud noticeably reduced regio iT’s operational burden and created a foundation for a consistent, cross-project way of working. Instead of managing servers, databases, and patches, Jira now runs in secure standard operation. The greenfield approach was used to deliberately leave behind accumulated legacy and build a structure that’s clear to all teams and governs collaboration with external partners.
