Overview
This bootcamp is designed for teams that don’t just want to get to know Forge, but want to use it productively. You’ll work directly on a Forge app that solves a real problem, with production-grade tools, best practices, and a clear architecture.
The outcome is more than knowledge: you’ll return to your team with a working Forge app prototype and a clean setup as the starting point for your project.

including migrating Connect or Data Center solutions to Forge.
Prerequisites
Basic JavaScript knowledge is recommended. Prior Forge experience is not required.
If needed, we’ll include short refreshers.

Day 1 – Foundations & setup
We build the foundation: architecture, APIs, extension points, plus a clean setup that enables you to continue independently afterwards.
- Forge architecture, APIs, extension points, events
- Tech stack: Node.js, React, TypeScript
- Environment setup (Forge CLI, test instances)
- App design: idea, architecture, modules
Day 2 – Development & deep dives
Now we build: frontend & backend, UI decisions, persistence, plus best practices for lifecycle and quality.
- Frontend & backend development in Atlassian Forge
- Forge UI Kit vs. Custom UI
- Endpoints and persistence with Forge KVS
- Development lifecycle & best practices
- Optional deep dives (e.g., type safety, client optimization)
Outcomes
After the bootcamp, your team will have:- a working Forge app prototype you can continue developing
